The Abington Review produces an annual online issue and an annual print issue. All genres of writing are welcome.
This year, 2017-2018, our theme is focusing on the the idea of "Flight." How doe you define it? What does it mean? How can you apply the concept? We're looking for writers to explore any concepts that may have be inspired by ideas of flight. Don't try to write to the theme—let us fit your work into our theme.
Please submit no more than 5 poems during the reading period, 5 short stories during the reading period, or five creative nonfiction pieces during the reading period. We also accept novel excerpt. If you are submitting more than one poem, please submit each one individually.
As for artwork, please submit no more than 5 black & white drawings, photographs, or any other artwork per submission period.
Please include your Penn State ID Number, and a brief (no more than 100 words) bio with your submission. All work is considered for both print and online publication.
WE ARE NOW READING FOR THE 2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR.
Expect a response to your submission by March 10th, 2017.
Also, make sure the document is in .JPG. format and is a MINIMUM of 300 dpi.
