The Abington Review produces an annual online issue and an annual print issue. All genres of writing are welcome.

This year, 2018-2019, our theme is "The Fifth Dimension," in recognition of the 60th Anniversary of the The Twlight Zone, the ground-breaking show that ran from 1959-1964, and tackled issues of social justice through situational irony. The show was created by and written by one of television's writing legends, Rod Serling. How do you interpret our world through the lens of the 5th Dimension? What is the world like when it is between "light and shadow?" "Science and Superstion?" When  "it lies between the pit of man's fears, and the summit of its knowledge?" Don't try to write to the theme—let us fit your work into our theme.

Please submit no more than 5 poems during the reading period, 5 short stories during the reading period, or five creative nonfiction pieces during the reading period. We also accept novel excerpt. If you are submitting more than one poem, please submit each one individually.
